Paralympic Shooting

Paralympic shooting is the umbrella sport covering pistol and rifle events at the Paralympic Games, open to athletes with physical or visual impairments who compete in classified categories with adapted equipment such as shooting stands, supports, or sound-based sighting devices for blind athletes. Competitors fire at stationary targets over set distances and are scored on accuracy across a series of shots. It has been part of the Paralympic Games since their inception in 1960 and is prized for the calm precision it demands.
