Majorette

Majorette (or baton twirling/majorette dancing) is a performance activity in which participants, often in coordinated teams, dance and march in formation while twirling batons, frequently accompanying marching bands at parades, halftime shows, and competitions. It combines elements of dance, gymnastics, and precision drill, requiring rhythm, coordination, and choreographed teamwork. It is especially popular in American school marching band culture and in French and West African majorette traditions.
