Dancesport

Dancesport is the competitive form of ballroom dancing, in which couples are judged on technique, timing, and presentation across standardized categories: the Standard/Modern dances (waltz, tango, Viennese waltz, foxtrot, quickstep) and the Latin dances (cha-cha, samba, rumba, paso doble, jive). It is governed internationally by the World DanceSport Federation, has featured at multi-sport events, and draws competitors who train for years to master its precise footwork and partnering.
