Quarterstaff

The quarterstaff is a long wooden staff, traditionally around six to eight feet, used as a weapon in historical English martial arts for both combat and self-defense. Fighters grip it with both hands to strike, block, and thrust, and it remains studied today within historical European martial arts (HEMA) communities and reenactment groups.
