Harp

The harp is a stringed musical instrument with strings running perpendicular to its soundboard, played by plucking with the fingers, and ranging from small folk harps to large orchestral concert harps with foot pedals for changing key. It has a centuries-long history across many cultures and is featured in classical orchestras, folk traditions (notably Celtic music), and as a solo instrument prized for its rich, resonant, arpeggiated sound.
