Finswimming

A water sport in which swimmers wear monofins or bifins to propel themselves faster than in traditional swimming, competing in surface and underwater (apnea) disciplines. It combines elements of swimming and freediving technique, and is governed internationally by CMAS with world championships held regularly. It appeals to competitive swimmers and freedivers seeking speed and breath-control challenges.
