Coasteering

Coasteering is an adventure activity that involves traversing rocky coastlines at the water's edge using a mix of scrambling, climbing, swimming, and cliff jumping into the sea, usually wearing a wetsuit, helmet, and buoyancy aid. It originated in Wales in the 1980s and combines elements of rock climbing, swimming, and gorge walking to explore stretches of coast inaccessible by normal walking. Participants are drawn to the mix of physical challenge, adrenaline from jumps, and access to otherwise unreachable sea caves and cliffs.
