Contrabass Ukulele

The contrabass ukulele is the largest and lowest-voiced instrument in the ukulele family, tuned an octave below a baritone ukulele and often strung with thick rubber or wound strings to produce its deep tone. It is used to add bass lines within ukulele ensembles and orchestras, and it appeals to ukulele enthusiasts curious about the instrument's tonal extremes beyond the familiar soprano or tenor sizes. Its large body makes it more physically demanding to hold and play than smaller ukuleles.
