Bōjutsu

Bōjutsu is a traditional Japanese martial art centered on fighting techniques with the bō, a wooden staff typically about six feet long. Practitioners train in strikes, blocks, sweeps, and thrusts, often as part of broader koryū (classical) martial arts systems or modern styles descended from Okinawan kobudō. It is valued both as a practical weapons art and as a discipline for developing timing, footwork, and body coordination.
