Bobsleigh

Bobsleigh is the internationally used name (especially in Europe) for the sport of bobsled, in which two- or four-person crews race a gravity-powered sled down an ice-covered chute. Athletes sprint to push-start the sled before diving aboard, and the pilot then steers through banked curves at high speed to post the fastest time. It has been a fixture of the Winter Olympics since 1924.
