U.S. Bank Added 387 Roles This Week, With 993 Open Listings

By Ben Garves

U.S. Bank added 387 new roles in the past seven days, more than any other employer across the job boards we track. That is about 4.5% of the 8,605 new roles posted on Career App this week, from a single company.

The size of the board behind it

U.S. Bank currently shows 993 open listings, the largest open count of any employer on this week's list. Put the two numbers side by side and the picture gets more specific: roughly 39% of what the bank has posted right now went up in the last week. This is not a long-dormant board with a few refreshes on top. It is turning over quickly.

The comparison that makes that clearest is Cleveland Clinic, second on open listings at 902, which added 260 roles. Similar depth, slower pace of new postings. At the other end, Longs Drugs added 200 roles against 216 open listings, meaning almost everything on its board is new.

Who else moved this week

Ranger Boats was second on new roles with 296, followed by Meijer at 272 and Tyson Foods at 264. The nearest comparable financial employer, Citigroup, added 212 new roles against 493 open listings, a little over half U.S. Bank's open total.

Rounding out the ten: JLL at 214 new and 335 open, Marriott International at 205 new and 257 open, and Lifepoint Hospitals at 176 new and 348 open.

Where this week's hiring landed overall

State counts below cover every employer we track, not U.S. Bank specifically. California led with 792 new roles, down from 859 the prior week, followed by Texas at 540 and New York at 466, both also down week over week. The clearer gains were further down the list: Florida rose to 420 from 332, Indiana to 190 from 118, and Georgia to 193 from 154. Michigan added 239, Tennessee 231, Ohio 228, North Carolina 219, Illinois 215 and Massachusetts 186. Plenty of other states had new roles as well.

On pay, the one finance-adjacent occupation in this week's posted-salary data is Financial Analyst, with a median of $170,000 across 88 listings. Those are pay ranges employers published on their own listings, annualized to USD, pooled across all employers rather than tied to any single one.

The week around it

The wider board moved barely at all: 8,605 new roles this week against 8,503 the prior week, counting only boards already being tracked before the comparison started. Closures ran ahead of openings at 10,287 roles, and closures trail the employer taking a listing down by about a week. In total there are 59,934 open listings from 679 employers hiring, with remote work at 6% of new roles.

Against that flat backdrop, one employer posting 387 roles in seven days stands out on volume alone. You can follow the day-by-day picture on US hiring trends, day by day, or search what is live now on the Job search.

Correction, October 19, 2026: The pay medians in this post were calculated from the top of each posted pay range rather than its midpoint, which is the basis our occupation pages use. Midpoint medians are typically 10% to 17% lower than the figures shown here.
