Missouri's week in new roles

How many jobs opened in Missouri this week?

Missouri's 186 new roles tie it with New Jersey and Pennsylvania this week. Those two reached the same number from different directions: New Jersey rose from 158, Pennsylvania slipped from 200.

New roles this week by state

These are the states with the most new roles this week, each with at least 10. Many other states added roles too, so the list is not a map of where the jobs are.

Is the overall week up or down?

Down. New roles across all states fell 256 week over week, from 9,419 to 9,163, a drop of about 3%. The comparison counts only boards Career App was already tracking before the comparison period, so a newly added board cannot inflate it. Over 30 days the direction matches: 38,778 new roles, against 40,113 in the prior 30.

That makes Missouri's week unusual. It added roles in a week when the wider total shrank, and Massachusetts, Ohio and New York did the same.

Which employers posted the most new roles this week?

AdventHealth led all employers with 546 new roles and 1,736 listings open. Citigroup followed with 292, then U.S. Bank with 269 and Cleveland Clinic with 258. Target added 229, Tyson Foods 208, and Stryker Corporation 187. Marriott International posted 182 new roles against an open total of just 206, the tightest ratio on the list. Accenture added 179 and Boeing 178. These counts cover each employer's full board, not any single state.

What is the board total right now?

73,182 listings are open today from 1,071 employers hiring. Over the past seven days, 19,067 roles opened and 9,262 closed. Closures trail the employer taking a role down by about a week, because a closure is recorded when the board is next re-read. Remote work accounts for 4% of new roles.
