Career App Passes Its 1,500th Employer Careers Site

By Ben Garves

AUSTIN, Texas, October 25, 2026, Career App has passed its 1,500th employer careers site. The job-search and career network, built by The GoodApps Company, now reads 1,500 employers' own job boards as of October 25, 2026. Those boards are the sources behind every listing the site carries.

The counter has one definition. It counts employers' own careers sites the crawler has been pointed at, where the employer is identified and has not asked to be removed. Career App lists roles from the source rather than from a copy of a copy, and this count is how many sources it reads. A day earlier, on October 24, the reading stood at 1,499. One site was added since.

Those 1,500 sources feed a cumulative total of 253,205 distinct job listings indexed since launch, crawled from an employer's careers site or posted on Career App directly. A role repeated across several store or office pages counts once. The total includes roles that have since closed. Of those listings, 39,484 carried a pay figure the employer published on the listing itself, a salary or a range, never an estimate. Employers with at least one listing number 1,122, and 291 occupations currently have at least five roles open.

Today's inventory is a separate figure from the cumulative counters. The home page counts 72,868 roles open right now, from 1,066 employers hiring. Of those open roles, 11,038 were posted in the last seven days and 3,800 are remote. Posted pay appears on 18,450 open roles, with a median of $119,251, annualized to USD from the ranges employers published. The site also holds 40 consecutive daily snapshots of its hiring inventory, the series behind the public US hiring trends, day by day page; a full year would be 365 rows.

Smaller counters sit alongside the crawl. Employers have posted 2 roles on Career App themselves, 1 organization page has been claimed by a verified representative, and 5 people have created a profile. Members have submitted 1 application and marked 1 career goal achieved. No offers have been accepted through a process the site tracked end to end. These are aggregate counts, and no member, applicant or employer is identified in any of them.

"Fifteen hundred careers sites is fifteen hundred places a job seeker would otherwise have to check one at a time," said Ben Garves, founder of The GoodApps Company. "We read the employer's own board, so the listing you open on Job search is the listing the employer wrote. Adding one more source a day is most of the work."

How the crawler works is documented on the site's How we crawl employer boards page. Listing counts cover the employer careers sites Career App crawls plus roles posted directly on the site. They describe the boards the site tracks, not the whole US job market.
