Career App Indexes Its 200,000th Job Listing

By Ben Garves

AUSTIN, Texas — October 7, 2026 — Career App, a job-search and career network built by The GoodApps Company, has passed its 200,000th job listing. The exact count stands at 200,383 as of today.

That number counts distinct job listings indexed since launch. A listing enters the count when the crawler reads it from an employer's own careers site or when an employer posts a role on Career App directly. A role reposted across several store or office pages counts once, and a role an employer later posted here themselves is not counted twice. The count includes listings whether or not they are still open today — it is a cumulative total, not a measure of how many roles are open right now.

The counter read 196,809 on October 6, 2026, one day earlier. 3,574 listings were added between those two readings.

Behind the listing count, Career App reads 1,117 employers' own careers sites and has indexed at least one US listing from 708 distinct employers. 24,291 of the listings indexed carried a pay figure the employer published on the listing itself — a salary or a range, never an estimate. The occupations index currently holds 251 occupations with at least five roles open across the boards the site tracks; unlike the listing counters, that figure is a snapshot and can fall as roles close.

Separately from the cumulative counters, the site counts 59,237 roles open right now, from 679 employers hiring, with 8,155 posted in the last seven days and 3,555 marked remote. 9,876 of the open roles carry posted pay, with a median of $155,000 — employer-posted figures annualized to US dollars. The daily trends page now holds 22 consecutive daily snapshots of that inventory; a full year of the series is 365 rows.

"Two hundred thousand listings is really a count of how many employer boards we've read carefully," said Ben Garves, founder of The GoodApps Company. "A job seeker searching here is looking at the employer's own posting, not a copy of a copy, and the cumulative number is what lets us say anything honest about how hiring moves over time. We have 22 days of daily snapshots so far. That series gets more useful every day it runs."
