Theremin

The theremin is an early electronic musical instrument, invented in 1920 by Leon Theremin, played without physical contact by moving the hands near two antennas that control pitch and volume via electromagnetic fields. Its eerie, continuous glissando sound has made it iconic in science-fiction film scores and a favorite among electronic music enthusiasts for its unique, gesture-based performance style.
