Tango

Tango is a passionate partner dance that originated in the working-class neighborhoods of Buenos Aires and Montevideo in the late 19th century, characterized by close embrace, sharp staccato movements, and dramatic pauses set to distinctive bandoneon-driven music. It has since spread globally as both a social dance (danced in milongas) and a competitive and theatrical performance art.
