Super-G

Super-G (Super Giant Slalom) is one of the five disciplines of alpine ski racing, sitting between downhill and giant slalom in terms of speed and turn frequency. Racers descend a course marked by widely spaced gates at very high speeds, combining the speed of downhill with more technical turning demands, in a single timed run. It is a discipline at the Winter Olympics and FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, attracting skiers and fans who favor the blend of raw speed and technical skill.
