Soccer Robot

Soccer robots are autonomous or semi-autonomous machines built to play soccer, most notably in RoboCup, an international competition and research initiative founded in the 1990s to advance robotics and AI. Teams design robots that can sense the ball and field, coordinate with teammates, and compete against other robotic teams, serving as a benchmark for multi-agent robotics research. The hobby/research draws engineers, students, and AI researchers who use the games to test perception, control, and teamwork algorithms.
