Robot-Sumo

Robot-sumo is a robotics competition, originating in Japan, in which two small robots face off in a circular ring (dohyo) and try to push each other out while staying inside the boundary themselves, similar to human sumo wrestling. Robots may be fully autonomous, using sensors to detect the opponent and ring edge, or manually operated, and the sport is a popular hobby among electronics and robotics enthusiasts worldwide.
