Skijoring
Skijoring is a winter sport in which a skier is pulled by a horse, dog, or motor vehicle (such as a snowmobile) across snow or ice, combining elements of skiing with the speed of the towing animal or vehicle. It originated in Scandinavia as a practical means of winter transport before becoming a competitive and recreational sport, especially popular in the United States, Canada, and Scandinavia. Dog-powered skijoring is also used as training for sled dog racing.
