Alpine Skiing

Alpine skiing, also called downhill skiing, is a winter sport in which participants descend snow-covered slopes on skis with fixed-heel bindings, using gravity for speed and turns for control. It encompasses recreational skiing at resorts as well as competitive disciplines like downhill, slalom, giant slalom, and super-G. Its appeal lies in the thrill of speed, the technical skill of carving turns, and the scenic mountain settings where it takes place.
