Road Tennis

Road tennis is a paddle sport that originated in Barbados, played with small wooden paddles and a low-compression ball across a painted rectangular court, typically outdoors on a street or hard surface, with a low wooden "net" line rather than a raised net. Players volley the ball back and forth aiming to land it in the opponent's section without it bouncing over the center line incorrectly, in a fast-paced rally style. It is considered a national pastime in Barbados and is played casually in neighborhoods as well as in organized tournaments.
