Para Table Tennis

Para table tennis is table tennis adapted for athletes with physical or intellectual impairments, played standing or from a wheelchair, using standard rackets and tables with some rule adjustments, such as a smaller serve-return zone for wheelchair classes. Athletes are grouped into classes numbered roughly 1-11 based on the nature and severity of their impairment. It has been part of the Paralympic program since 1960 and is popular for its accessibility, requiring relatively little specialized equipment while demanding sharp reflexes and strategy.
