Road Bowling

Road bowling is a sport in which players throw a heavy metal ball, called a bowl or bullet, along a course of country roads, aiming to complete the set route in the fewest throws. It is most strongly associated with Ireland, particularly counties Cork and Armagh, where matches are traditionally accompanied by spectators and wagering. Similar traditions exist in parts of Germany, the Netherlands, and the United States (notably among Irish-American communities), and require a mix of strength and precise aim to loft the bowl efficiently around bends.
