Duckpin Bowling

Duckpin bowling is a variant of ten-pin bowling that uses shorter, squatter pins and a smaller ball without finger holes, roughly the size of a softball. Because the ball is lighter and the pins are harder to knock down cleanly, players get three rolls per frame instead of two, and scoring high is notably more difficult than in standard bowling. It's most popular in the northeastern United States and parts of Canada, often enjoyed as a casual, social alternative to conventional bowling.
