Odissi

Odissi is one of India's major classical dance forms, originating in the temples of Odisha and dating back over a thousand years. It combines fluid, sculptural body movements, intricate footwork, expressive hand gestures (mudras), and facial expression (abhinaya) to narrate stories, often drawn from Hindu mythology, accompanied by Odissi music.
