Standard

In competitive ballroom dancing, "Standard" refers to the International Standard category, which comprises five dances -- waltz, tango, Viennese waltz, foxtrot, and quickstep -- performed by couples in closed hold with smooth, traveling movement around the floor. It is one of the two major divisions of ballroom competition, contrasted with the Latin category, and is judged on posture, frame, and fluid technique.
