Lure Coursing

Lure coursing is a dog sport in which sighthounds such as greyhounds, whippets, and salukis chase a mechanically operated lure across a field along a course designed to mimic the unpredictable movement of prey. It tests a dog's natural chasing instinct, speed, and agility without harming live animals. Owners and breed enthusiasts pursue it both for competitive titling and as a way to let their dogs safely exercise their prey drive.
