Karakucak

Karakucak ("black soil" wrestling) is a traditional form of Turkish folk wrestling contested on bare earth or grass rather than the oiled-wrestling style of Kırkpınar. Competitors wear leather or canvas shorts called kispet-like trousers and try to pin or throw their opponent using grips and takedowns similar to freestyle wrestling. It remains a rural folk sport tied to Turkish village festivals and agricultural fairs.
