Goat Racing

Goat racing is a novelty and competitive event in which goats are raced over a short course, either ridden by young jockeys (in some traditional and rural contests) or run loose while chasing a lure or handler, depending on the region. It is practiced both as informal rural entertainment at agricultural fairs and, in places like the Cayman Islands and parts of the American South, as a longstanding community tradition. Spectators are drawn to its lighthearted, county-fair atmosphere.
