Chuckwagon Racing

Chuckwagon racing is a rodeo event, most famously featured at the Calgary Stampede in Canada, in which teams drive horse-drawn covered wagons at high speed around a track, often after a mock 'camp break' maneuver involving loading equipment onto the wagon. The sport evolved from the historical chuckwagons that fed cowboys during cattle drives and early 20th-century ranch competitions. It combines high-speed horsemanship, driving skill, and teamwork, and remains a major draw for rodeo and Western heritage audiences.
