Field Archery

Field archery is a form of archery in which participants shoot at targets of varying, sometimes unmarked, distances set out along a wooded or rugged outdoor course, unlike the flat, uniform-distance ranges used in target archery. Courses mimic hunting conditions, requiring archers to judge distance and adapt to uneven terrain, elevation changes, and natural obstacles. It appeals to archers who enjoy combining the skill of shooting with hiking through natural landscapes, and it has its own world championships recognized by World Archery.
