Mounted Archery

Mounted archery is the practice of shooting a bow and arrow while riding a moving horse, a skill with roots in historical warfare among cultures such as the Mongols, Huns, Koreans, and Hungarians. Modern mounted archery is practiced as a competitive sport, with riders shooting at targets while galloping along a set course, testing coordination between horse and rider as well as archery accuracy. It has seen a revival through international competitions and organizations dedicated to preserving the historical technique.
