East Coast Swing

East Coast Swing is a social partner dance derived from Lindy Hop, danced to swing and rock-and-roll music using a simplified six-count basic step pattern that's easier to learn than its more improvisational parent dance. It's commonly taught in beginner ballroom and swing dance classes because its structured triple-steps and rock steps provide an accessible entry point into swing dancing. Dancers enjoy it for its upbeat energy and adaptability to a wide range of tempos and music styles.
