Cat Fancy

Cat fancy is the hobby of breeding, exhibiting, and appreciating pedigreed and non-pedigreed domestic cats, akin to dog fancy for dogs. Enthusiasts, known as "cat fanciers," participate in cat shows sanctioned by organizations such as the Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA) or The International Cat Association (TICA), where cats are judged against breed standards. The hobby also encompasses breed development, genetics, and general feline care and welfare advocacy.
