Nosework

Nosework, often called K9 Nose Work, is a dog sport in which dogs search for a target scent (commonly essential oils like birch, anise, or clove) hidden in boxes, vehicles, or rooms and alert their handler upon finding it. It was developed from the training techniques used for detection dogs and is popular with dog owners because it lets virtually any dog, regardless of age or physical ability, engage in mentally stimulating, confidence-building work.
