Canadian Football

Canadian football is a gridiron sport closely related to American football but with distinct rules, including twelve players per side, a longer and wider field, three downs instead of four, and a rouge (single point) for missed field goals or unreturned kicks into the end zone. It is governed at the professional level by the Canadian Football League (CFL) and is deeply embedded in Canadian sporting culture, especially through the annual Grey Cup championship. Fans and players value its faster pace and larger field, which reward speed and open-field play.
