Rugby League

Rugby league is a full-contact team sport played between two sides of 13 players who carry, pass backward, and kick an oval ball to score tries, with possession changing after a set number of tackles. It split from rugby union in England in 1895 over disputes about professionalism and is now especially popular in northern England, Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea.
