Snowmobile Skipping

Also known as snowmobile watercross or 'skipping,' this is a stunt activity in which a rider drives a snowmobile across the surface of open water at high speed, relying on momentum and the track's paddling action to stay afloat rather than sink. It appears as a novelty event at some snowmobile competitions and end-of-season gatherings, similar in spirit to ski 'pond skimming.'
