Rugby Union

Rugby union is a full-contact team sport played between two sides of 15 players who carry, pass backward, and kick an oval ball, aiming to score tries by grounding the ball in the opponent's in-goal area, with scoring also possible via conversions, penalty kicks, and drop goals. Governed globally by World Rugby, it culminates every four years in the Rugby World Cup and is especially prominent in the UK, Ireland, France, and the southern hemisphere nations of New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa.
