Plate Spinning

Plate spinning is a classic circus and variety-show skill in which a performer sets plates spinning atop thin poles or sticks and must keep multiple plates going simultaneously by periodically re-spinning each one before it loses momentum and falls. It requires practiced timing, balance, and multitasking, and is often performed as a comedic or suspenseful stage act. Hobbyists also practice it recreationally as a dexterity challenge.
