Method Acting

Method Acting is an acting technique derived from the teachings of Constantin Stanislavski and developed further by figures like Lee Strasberg, in which actors draw on personal memories and emotions to authentically portray a character's inner experience. Practitioners often stay in character on and off set and use sense memory or emotional recall exercises to achieve realism. It has been influential in American theater and film, associated with actors like Marlon Brando, Robert De Niro, and Daniel Day-Lewis.
