Paralympic Rifle Events

Paralympic rifle events are precision shooting competitions in which athletes with physical or visual impairments fire air rifles or .22 caliber rifles at targets from 10, 25, or 50 meters, in prone, kneeling, or standing positions as applicable to their classification. Visually impaired competitors use rifles fitted with acoustic sighting systems that convert aim into audible tones. The sport rewards steady posture, breath control, and mental focus over repeated shots.
