Lockpicking

Lockpicking is the practice of opening a lock without its key by manipulating its internal pins or components, usually with a tension tool and a pick. It is a professional skill for locksmiths and security testers, and also a popular hobby in which enthusiasts treat locks as puzzles to defeat non-destructively. Dedicated hobbyist communities host challenges and competitions built around picking increasingly difficult locks.
