Competitive Model Sports

Competitive model sports involve racing or performing precision maneuvers with scaled-down remote-controlled or free-flight vehicles, such as model airplanes, cars, boats, or rockets, judged on speed, accuracy, or flight performance. Disciplines include RC car racing, control-line and radio-controlled aerobatics, and model rocketry altitude or duration contests, often organized through hobbyist clubs and national federations like the Academy of Model Aeronautics. Enthusiasts are drawn to the engineering challenge of building and tuning the models as much as the competitive piloting itself.
