Jittejutsu

Jittejutsu is the traditional Japanese martial art of using the jitte, a short iron truncheon with a single hook near the handle, historically carried by law enforcement officers during the Edo period. Practitioners train to block and trap an opponent's sword using the hook while delivering strikes and joint locks with the shaft. It survives today mainly within a few classical koryu martial arts schools as a specialized weapons discipline rather than a widely practiced hobby.
