Inline Speed Skating

Inline speed skating is a competitive racing discipline in which athletes wear low-cut, multi-wheeled inline skates designed for maximum speed and race around tracks or roads over distances ranging from short sprints to marathons. Racers use a low, aerodynamic crouch and powerful side-to-side strides similar to those of ice speed skaters, and the sport has world championships governed by World Skate. It demands significant endurance, technique, and strategy, particularly in pack-style road races.
