Inline Sledge Hockey

Inline sledge hockey is an adaptive version of ice sledge hockey for players with physical disabilities, in which participants sit in a low sledge fitted with wheels (instead of ice-skate blades) and propel themselves using two handheld picks, played on a hard surface rather than ice. It allows athletes who use wheelchairs or have lower-limb impairments to play a fast, physical team hockey sport off the ice, and mirrors the rules and equipment style of Paralympic ice sledge hockey. It is played in leagues and adaptive sports programs where ice facilities are unavailable.
