Inline Figure Skating

Inline figure skating adapts the artistry and technical elements of ice figure skating—such as jumps, spins, and choreographed programs—to inline roller skates performed on a hard flat surface instead of ice. Skaters are judged on similar criteria to their ice counterparts, including technical difficulty and artistic presentation, and the discipline has its own competitions sanctioned by international roller sports federations. It offers ice skaters and rink skaters an accessible, weather-independent alternative to pursue the sport.
