Harlem Shake

The Harlem Shake is a dance move originating in Harlem, New York in the 1980s, characterized by loose, shoulder-driven shaking and jerky upper-body movements, originally performed to hip-hop music at parties and in music videos. It saw a viral resurgence in 2013 as an internet meme in which a video would cut from one person dancing alone to a chaotic group of people dancing in costume to a specific electronic music track.
